Roland-Garros 2026, “Where's Joëlle?” edition 🎾
There are the quarter-finals, top-level matches, and a particularly impressive Alexander Zverev.
And then there is our annual tradition.
For several years, a friend has made it his mission to spot me in the Roland-Garros stands and send me a photograph as proof.
Every year, I think I have found a better hiding place.
Every year, it finds me.
This 2026 edition was no exception. 😅
In my defence, it was raining. I had kept on my Roland-Garros raincoat, which was considerably less discreet than the white outfit I had planned underneath. By the time I thought of taking it off, I had already been spotted. 🤷🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
Along the way, it was also an opportunity to catch up with many familiar faces, meet people from football in a very different setting, share the day with the Guadeloupe team and enjoy the unique atmosphere of Roland-Garros.
Many thanks to Hamid GHARAVI for his invitation and to Alexandre CADET for sharing this wonderful day with me.
Beyond tennis, Roland-Garros remains one of those occasions where you come for the matches but also leave with memories, encounters and a few wonderful stories to tell.
And that is also part of its charm. 🎾
