TotalEnergies AFCON 2025, Morocco: a continent celebrating 🏆⚽
I had the pleasure of spending a few days in Rabat and Casablanca 🇲🇦 for the Africa Cup of Nations opening ceremony and the first matches.
AFCON is not just about football ⚽️.
It is a shared energy, stands alive with excitement, smiles, songs and colours.
A continent coming together and expressing itself with a distinctive intensity and generosity.
Football ⚽ then becomes a common language.
Simple. Direct. Full of life.
An enormous thank you to Morocco 🇲🇦 for such a wonderful welcome in every respect.
A special mention for the food… which I (very much) enjoyed😅.
On and off the pitch, identity is everywhere, right down to the outfits.
My personal top three outfits: Côte d’Ivoire 🇨🇮, Mali 🇲🇱, Nigeria 🇳🇬.
Finally, congratulations to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on this launch, the quality of the organisation and its ambition for African football ⚽.
The Africa Cup of Nations is under way.
The next chapter will be written on the pitch.
And good luck to the African teams, 51 of whose players currently play in Ligue 1 McDonald’s.
