In response to developments in the health situation linked to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Medical Committee of Confederation of African Football (CAF) has developed a comprehensive plan to help Member Associations (MAs) restart football activities on the continent.
The document, entitled “CAF Guidelines for the Resumption of Football in Africa”, focuses on the health of the key participants (players, officials, supporters and partners), thereby enabling football activities to resume on the continent.
Agreed with the relevant national authorities, this plan also emphasises effective and continuous medical assessment.
This includes systematic testing of players and officials, guidelines for training sessions, the disinfection of sports facilities and strict compliance with global preventive measures.
