It is official: the election for the presidency of Confederation of African Football (CAF) to be held on 12 March in Rabat, has five candidates, a first in CAF’s history!
The candidates are South African entrepreneur Mr Patrice Tlhopane Motsepe, the Ivorian Mr Jacques ANOUMA , the Mauritanian Mr Ahmed YAHYA, Mr Augustin Senghor, current President of the Senegalese Football Federation, and finally the outgoing President, Mr Ahmad Ahmad, who stood again at the request of 46 federations.
This election promises many twists and turns!
