During the 2nd national convention against violence in sport, Roxana Maracineanu, Minister Delegate in charge of Sports, took stock of the activity of the dedicated unit.
Despite the health crisis, the chosen strategy could unfold and produce significant results throughout the year.
Many measures have been taken:
- "Checking the integrity of educators and volunteer leaders is now a reality.
- Almost 80% of state officials who exercise functions with minors have received their professional card and have therefore had their criminal records checked.
- Training for sports educators on "ethics and integrity" is now available.
- The exchange of information between the prosecution services for minors and the deconcentrated administration of the ministry responsible for sports have been stepped up.
- A government workshop on sexual violence in sport has been set up.
- The awareness-raising sessions also continued throughout the territory at the regional level. "
