Despite the pandemic, the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games were a real success in terms of media and digital coverage.

According to an independent study carried out on behalf of the IOC, a total of 3.05 billion viewers could watch the Olympics on linear television channels and digital platforms (a 34% increase compared to Rio 2016).

In the months to come, the various analyses will enable the IOC to propose reforms and possibly take a look at the choice of sports included in the program of future Games.
